We have reached a new chapter in our development at Costa Consultants. We want to help serve people using the very tools that have been serving us on our path to wellness over the years. That’s why we are starting a wellness retreat for holistic healing that helps to serve all aspects of health in the natural landscape of Costa Rica.
Holistic health strives to heal the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of a person.
Our holistic healing center has a four-pillar foundation approach, from beginner to advanced level tools, where participants learn how to self-heal spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our modalities cover the four pillars using psychology, physical therapy and movement, intuitive energy and spiritual healing, nutrition, and naturopathic medicine.
From our international and personal experiences, diverse backgrounds and cultures, and a variety of expertise and licensed professionals in each field, we are offering group retreats with individualized curriculums for weekend seminars, young adult retreats, and seven-day adult healing retreats in Costa Rica.
Groups will be no more than 15 at a time. In the week-long healing retreat in Costa Rica, there is an orientation day, a giving day where we practice what we’ve learned and give back to the local community, an adventure day to explore Costa Rica in all its beauty and fun, and the other days will be spent in the group or one-on-one classes for half the day. The rest of the time can be used to keep learning and healing, or relax and enjoy a massage, a hike, horseback riding, beautiful beaches, etc.
People will sign up through our website and first choose either a single suite or a shared room and then decide on group classes or one-on-one classes, and if they want to focus more on physical therapy and movement, natural medicine practices, spiritual healing, or psychology.
Through our holistic healing center, we strive to give you all the tools you need to live a more healthy and joyous life. We give the younger generations tools for mental, physical, and spiritual pillars, coming from a preventative perspective. As for the adult group, it is never too late, so come as you are, at any stage in your life.
We all endure trauma of some sort throughout our lives. Each of our perspectives is just as honorable and should be respected equally no matter what types and intensities of trauma we have experienced.
The years fly by with or without you. Instead of watching a decade or more go by where we continue to have failed relationships, dragged-out addictions, and purposeless lives. It is time to learn the basic tools to start healing our past and use this fresh energy to create our present/future self.
Our commitment to our own healing radiates to influence our family, friends, children, and co-workers, allowing everyone around us to live in their highest and greatest good. Ultimately, to feel joy, cherish life, and respect each other’s divinity and our connectedness. To heal today, to enjoy this life now, and to propel a higher vibration foundation for our children and future generations. To create and grow without boundaries, and to live what God | Universe | Source | Spirit viscerally intended for us. To learn from our mistakes and traumas, and to twist these into gifts for others.
Pillar 1: Psychology
People often struggle to navigate complex dynamics related to codependency, self-love, self-esteem, boundary setting, and communication skills.
Codependency, a common interpersonal pattern, occurs when one person excessively relies on another for their sense of self-worth and fulfillment. Psychological exploration and therapeutic interventions can help individuals understand the roots of codependency and develop healthier relational patterns.
Self-love and self-esteem play crucial roles in one’s mental well-being. Cultivating self-love involves accepting oneself unconditionally, embracing strengths and weaknesses, and prioritizing self-care. Meanwhile, nurturing healthy self-esteem involves recognizing personal worth and fostering a positive self-image. Both self-love and self-esteem contribute to resilience, emotional stability, and healthy relationships.
Setting and maintaining boundaries is vital for maintaining healthy connections. Individuals with well-defined boundaries communicate their needs, assert their limits, and protect their emotional well-being. Effective boundary setting enables individuals to establish respectful relationships and maintain a sense of autonomy.
Communication skills are essential for expressing thoughts, emotions, and needs effectively. Effective communication fosters understanding, empathy, and connection, while poor communication can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. Developing active listening, assertiveness, and empathy can enhance relationships and contribute to healthier interactions.
Through the exploration of codependency therapy, fostering self-love, boundary setting, and communication skills, you can embark on a transformative journey toward healthier relationships, increased self-awareness, and improved overall well-being.
Pillar 2: Physical Therapy and Movement
Physical therapy and movement go hand in hand in the pursuit of optimal health and wellness. This specialized branch of healthcare focuses on restoring and enhancing physical function, mobility, and strength. Professional physical therapy employs various techniques and exercises tailored to individual needs, aiming to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and promote overall well-being.
Movement, on the other hand, encompasses the entire spectrum of human motion, from simple actions like walking to complex athletic endeavors. It is a fundamental aspect of our daily lives and profoundly impacts our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Regular movement is essential for maintaining a healthy weight, improving cardiovascular fitness, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
Professional physical therapy recognizes the importance of movement in promoting healing and rehabilitation. Our therapist uses targeted exercises, stretches, and manual techniques to address musculoskeletal issues, injuries, and physical impairments. He works closely with you to develop personalized treatment plans that aim to restore function, enhance mobility, and alleviate pain.
Moreover, physical therapy extends beyond rehabilitation and injury management. It also focuses on preventive care and wellness, educating individuals on proper body mechanics, posture, and exercise techniques to prevent future injuries and promote long-term health.
By incorporating movement into therapy and emphasizing therapeutic exercises, physical therapy helps you regain function, improve your quality of life, and embark on a journey of lifelong wellness.
Pillar 3: Naturopathic Medicine and Nutrition
Naturopathic medicine and nutrition form a dynamic duo in the realm of holistic health and wellness. Naturopathic medicine is an alternative approach to healthcare that focuses on supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It emphasizes the use of natural remedies, lifestyle modifications, and personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual’s unique needs.
Nutrition plays a central role in naturopathic medicine, recognizing the profound impact that food has on our overall well-being. It views food not only as a source of nourishment but also as a powerful tool for preventing and treating diseases. Naturopathic practitioners emphasize the importance of a balanced and nutrient-rich diet to support optimal health and vitality.
Our naturopathic doctor assesses your nutritional needs and provides guidance on making dietary choices that promote healing and wellness. He may recommend specific foods, supplements, or herbal remedies to address nutritional deficiencies or support the body’s healing processes.
Moreover, naturopathic medicine and nutrition often go beyond addressing symptoms and aim to identify and treat the root causes of health issues. By addressing underlying imbalances and supporting your body’s innate healing abilities through personalized nutrition plans, naturopathic medicine seeks to restore and maintain optimal health.
By integrating the power of natural remedies and personalized nutritional guidance, we offer a comprehensive approach to health that empowers you to take an active role in your well-being and achieve a state of vibrant health.
Pillar 4: Reiki Energy Healing
Reiki, psychic Reiki, and intuitive healing are transformative practices that delve into the realm of energy healing and spiritual well-being.
Reiki, a Japanese healing technique, involves the transfer of energy through the practitioner’s hands to promote relaxation, balance, and healing. It is based on the belief that life force energy flows through us, and when this energy is low or blocked, it can lead to physical or emotional imbalances. Our Reiki energy healing practitioner channels this energy to support your body’s natural healing abilities, fostering a sense of deep relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
Psychic Reiki combines the principles of Reiki energy healing with psychic abilities, intuition, and spiritual guidance. Our practitioner taps into her intuitive senses to identify and address energetic imbalances or blockages while providing insights and guidance to support your healing journey.
Intuitive healing is a holistic approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, focusing on accessing one’s intuitive abilities to facilitate healing and personal growth.
These practices recognize the holistic nature of wellness, addressing physical symptoms and the underlying energetic and spiritual aspects. They offer a non-invasive and gentle approach to healing, promoting relaxation, restoring energetic flow, and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
These energy-healing modalities provide you with powerful tools for self-exploration, healing, and personal transformation. They offer a safe and nurturing space to release energetic blockages and cultivate a greater sense of balance, harmony, and well-being.
